The purpose of the following articles were to motivate gym members as well as market both locations. I regularly photographed and interviewed gym and staff members for newsletter features and other marketing initiatives.

Web Content for the Howard County Public School System

I regularly wrote and edited web content, along with my communication colleagues, while working within an already established website framework.  I focused my attention on making sure that daily content was timely and correct and department sections were updated, visually enhanced and easy to navigate for site visitors. The following examples show section makeovers for the Office of International Student and Family Services (OISFS), Elementary Science, Psychological Services, and Food and Nutrition Services.

Each section had its own challenges. For example, I created an English template for OISFS  based on the office’s communication needs. Once the template was finalized, Spanish, Korean and Chinese translators submitted their translations for the website and the office adopted a new procedure for keeping all 4 language sites in sync with the same information. This was a great improvement over posting images containing blocks of text with different information for each language.
