Template for 41 Elementary and 20 Middle School Sites

Staying current with technology and communication trends means never staying still for too long. Once money became available, the school system began the process to move their antiquated public school sites onto a more efficient platform that was easy to maintain and navigate. Layouts were developed for the elementary and middle school sites using Drupal 7. The idea was to provide a template with a place for everything so that any staff member would be able to update content quickly and easily.

The school system rolled out a simpler version of the following templates in June of 2014 with the idea of improving site features and functionality going forward. This will also involve integration of various technology already in place.

The following templates were created utilizing as much of the elementary and middle school sites template as possible. These sites are scheduled to be rolled out before the end of school year 2014-15.

Online Annual Report – 2010

This 2010 Annual Report was the first online annual report for the school system. In addition to written content and photographs, it also contains videos and charts.  I was responsible for creating the design as well as all aspects of preparing the website for its unique presence as part of the school system’s main website.

This 2011 annual report was originally prepared for print as a glossy, specialty piece for Board Members to distribute at community events.  I converted the piece into its own web presence as part of the school system’s main website, styling it after the original printed version using CSS.
